Hello! My name is Kyle Carter, but you can call me Wizo.
I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since I was ten years old. During these twenty years, I have accumulated a huge amount of knowledge and practical experience as a player and dungeon master. I’ve had many wonderful groups, but I have also made my fair share of mistakes. D&D has helped me become the person that I am today, which I why I decided to start the Level Up Corner.
I have witnessed so many people asking for help on the internet when they screw up in D&D. Often the advice is unhelpful, and only tells them what they should have done, rather than what they can do moving forward. There needs to be more useful, practical advice out there on the internet for players and dungeon masters. Which is where this website comes in.
In the Damage Control category, I will give you practical advice to help you after the screw up. I may offer some ideas to help you avoid the situation in the future, but the focus will always be on how to solve the current problem. Oftentimes you will find that I have made a similar mistake, somewhere along the way, and that you are certainly not alone.
The Dungeons & Dragons Theory category focuses on the interesting D&D theories I have developed over the years . I am always fascinated to hear what other theories people have come up with, so feel free to share them with me in the comments of my articles. Who knows, I might even start a debate segment one of these days, depending on how many perspectives there are on a topic.
Lastly, the Dungeon Master Help category is specifically for all you dungeon masters out there. Being the person who runs the games comes with a huge amount of responsibility that your players don’t have to deal with. Let’s face it, being the dungeon master is a lot of work. Since I am a professional dungeon master as part of my full-time job, I am here to help you out.
